SUCCESS! We had one good day this weekend and we took it. We had David’s Tag Sale on Monday and it was a success. In total over $480 dollars was raised to help David obtain a manual wheelchair.

We would like to thank all that contributed and helped out.

Every day we get closer to our Goal of raising $10,000 for the new wheelchair.

We would like to do another Tag Sale event before the summer is out. So before you throw out any under used item think of David. Set it aside or bring it over to 124 old Walpole Rd. Every item we get to sell gets David a little closer to getting his manual wheelchair.

On behalf of David and the rest of the Hudgik Family, Thank You! Your love gives us hope.

Family Reunion May 18th, 2013

Family Reunion May 18th, 2013 (Click photo to enlarge)

David and Family had a great time at a family gathering down at his Aunt Lisa’s house in Granby. David’s Uncle Steve, Aunt Eileen and cousins Amanda and Zack where in Western Mass for a visit. They only come east every few years so it was good to see them and have most of the family together for a visit.

We are still collecting items for the tag sale this coming Saturday. The tag sale is this coming Saturday, from 8 am until 3pm, at our home at 124 Old Walpole Road. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a manual wheelchair to help increase David’s mobility and Independence.

David has limited use of his arms. The specialized wheelchair will have help motors on it so when David pushes, the wheels will also kick in a little to help move him.

The cost of the wheelchair is around $10,000.
So we need as many item as possible to sell.

Donated items can be left at our home any time, or you can contact us and we will come out and pick them up.

Thank you for your help and support.

Uncle Steven Visits From Oregon

Lots going on. David’s ceiling lift was installed in his bedroom last week. We just need to find the triangle that connects to the end of the lift and he will be able to use it. The ceiling lift will eliminate the need for his portable lift. This will give him a lot more room in his bedroom. The portable lift will be used in the basement to help get him on his tilt table. We Thank the Sambor Family for the donation of both the ceiling lift and portable lift.

This past Sunday David had lots of visitors. His Uncle Steve was here from Oregon for a visit, (He is the tall guy in the back of the attached group picture). My sister and her family brought him up from Massachusetts where he was staying with my dad for a while. My sister wanted to come up and pick up David’s queen size bed which David had given to his cousin Josh who is expecting his first child.

Told you there was a lot going on.

We are still gathering items for the Tag Sale on Saturday May the 25th. Look through your attics, cellars, garages, barns, trunks of your cars and vacation homes for any useable items that could be sold at the tag sale. If you can’t get them to us we will make arrangements to come and pick them. No old televisions, beds, or junky computers please.

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a portable wheelchair for David.

Thank you for all of your support and prayers.

Remember this Sunday is Mothers Day. Everyone has a special Mom. I know David does.
