TestDrive

David looks a little concerned just before he goes for a test ride in a used Ford Focus with his brother Jason.

Summer is going by quickly. David is still working to get stronger so he can push his manual wheelchair. You can sometimes catch him in downtown Keene or at the Keene Middle School complex working out with his manual chair. Not all the muscles are firing in his arms. Hopefully over time more and more will. He never gives up and pushes himself to work out every day. I’m always amazed and very impressed with what he has achieved.

AUGUST 30TH ~ SAVE THIS DATE!
David’s next event is his second annual Fun Run to be held Saturday August 30th. Now is the time to be getting your teams together. Invite your family, friends and co-workers to come out and support David.

I was reading the Keene Sentinel this morning and discovered David had made the Honor Roll at Keene High last semester. Congratulations David! Awesome Job!

Well, graduation is done … the parties are over …

David is relaxing and enjoying some time off with his family and friends. This past Saturday he went with his family to visit the animals at the Friendly Farm. They had a great time feeding and learning about the animals there. Click here to see photos.

He has also been working out in the evenings with his manual wheelchair. On cool evenings you can catch him down at the middle school complex wheeling around the driveways, sidewalks and parking lots.

This past Friday David went down to Greenfield Community College to see what they had to offer. Part of his plan is to take some courses at Keene High and other local colleges this coming school year.

HEY! Mark this date in your calendar, August the 30th.

That is the date of David’s second annual 5K FUN RUN. Get your teams together now. It is the perfect time to start off the running season, and it is all for a good cause. David is trying to raise money to offset ongoing medical costs, and to increase his mobility. Ideally he would like to be able to drive himself to college. For more information, and to see more pictures of Dave, go to David’s Website, www.davidsjourneytorecovery.com.

Thank you for your support

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 5K FUN RUN,
David’s Dad Paul
