Giving Tuesday was founded with the goal of creating a 24-hour day completely dedicated to giving back. Taking a cue from annual shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is held every year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and encourages individuals, families, communities and organizations around the world to do whatever they can in service of others.
